29 May Devotion Sports Splits Allegiance Between Clemson and Alabama
Roots run deep. After competing against each other in the 2016 College Football Playoff National Championship Game, Dabo Swinney and Nick Saban teamed up to raise funds for the Rise School at the Stallings Center in Tuscaloosa, through hosting a golf tournament at TBD. The Rise School services serves young children with physical disabilities from birth to 5 years of age. The tournament was a great success. Tournament Director John Staples was looking for a signature item to reward those teams that participated and he turned to Devotion Sports to create a half Clemson/half Alabama full size helmet from Schutt Sports that was autographed by both coaches. Never forgetting where he came from, Coach Swinney signed “Roll Tigers” on the Clemson side of the helmets. With such capacity to do good while competing relentlessly, here’s hoping for another Tide-Tigers rematch.
